HEREL has been awarded with 9 CLE credits from the Florida bar. Attendees will need to use the Florida CLE approval to obtain CLE in their home states. Enrolled participants will be notified once the CLE’s are approved in Florida.
Reminder that HEREL conferences are generally capped around 50 participants, so register early to secure your spot!
HEREL ANNUAL CONFERENCE REGISTRATION CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY
HEREL is a success in large measure because our local hosts are willing to contract in the name of their institution for conference facilities, catering, hotel room blocks and other expenses. In doing so they assume the risk of financial losses that can result from reduced attendance. The HEREL Steering Committee has adopted this cancellation policy to help mitigate those risks and thus ensure that local hosts continue to step forward to make these conferences possible.
Conference cancellations received by September 30, 2024, entitle registrants to a full refund (less $50 processing fee). Cancellation requests will not be accepted after September 30, 2024, but the conference materials will be made available to all registrants. Additionally, HEREL will accept substitutions that a registrant unable to attend identifies. Exceptions to the cancellation deadline will be made for personal emergencies and significant medical issues that prevent attendance. While we appreciate that unexpected client needs may make it difficult or impossible for registrants to attend, we are unable to honor refund requests based on these circumstances after the deadline date. All registrant substitutions and cancellation requests must be in writing and emailed to Wendy Vargas at [email protected].
Please note: Cancelling your conference registration does not affect your hotel reservation. To cancel or transfer your hotel reservation you must work directly with the conference center hotel.
HOTEL ACCOMODATIONS
Hotel accommodations are being offered at a discount rate of $175 per night at the InterContinental at Doral Miami. This hotel is not located directly on campus. HEREL will provide complimentary shuttle service to and from the Florida International University campus. HEREL attendees are responsible for making their own hotel reservations directly from the link above. Please add the check in date of November 6th and check out date of November 8th and you will see the FIU HEREL Conference preferred rate.
TRANSPORTATION & PARKING
For travel from Miami International Airport to the InterContinental Hotel we recommend using a ride share or taxi service as there is no hotel shuttle from and to the airport. Self-parking is available at the hotel for a discounted overnight parking rate of $12.00 for HEREL attendees. All transportation needed during the conference (such as shuttles to campus from the hotel) will be provided by our host, FIU.
